The 1991 Vanuatu tsunami was a devastating tsunami caused by a landslide form an unstable slope. It was 4 meters high when it finally came ashore 9 minutes later, wreaking its havoc for a total time of 13 minutes, leaving 127 dead, 124 others injured, and $130 million in damages as a result. Caused by the seriously bad weather that occurred in the area for the past 4 months, and from various cyclones in the area, the slope gave way completely along the coast to cause the tsunami, which then swept ashore 9 minutes later. The tsunami didn't travel far, and effected only the South Pacific Islands as a result, keeping the overall deaths and fatalities to a minimum.
