Have you ever wondered what would happen if the major aftershocks of the 3/11 quake in 2011 resulted in destructive tsunamis? Here is my hypothesis: The 2011-2012 Japanese earthquakes and tsunamis were 3 quakes that triggered 3 devastating tsunamis.

April 7, 2011

On Thursday, April 7, 2011, a massive 7.4 earthquake unleashed a tsunami warning for the entire Pacific Ocean. "Again?" many would say. The quake struck at 11:32pm JST, and at 1:02 am Friday, April 8, 2011, the tsunami destroyed the cities of Sendai, Kamaishi, and Miyako. 132 casualties were recorded.

April 11, 2011

On Monday, April 11, 2011, 3 days after last wave, a 7.1 earthquake hit Fukushima, resulting in no Tsunami warning, but the quake itself caused 4 casualties and struck at 5:16pm JST. This time, Kobe, Fukushima, and Kumamuto ( wrong spelling ) City were destroyed. Many wondered why this was happening. 12 casualties.

December 7, 2012

On Friday, December 7, 2012, a 7.4 earthquake struck Kamaishi City at 5:18 am JST, resulting in a tsunami of up to 18 feet ( 6 meters ) that reached the region. Someone in the Solomon Islands was reported injured when a 14 inch wave toppled an umbrella onto him. The earthquake itself resulted in 2 casualties and little damage. The tsunami caused only 4 fatalities, resulting in 6 total.

In total, 150 fatalities, 8 missing, 221 injured.
